My love for history, mostly the great stories, inspires me to paint historical buildings and landmarks. I think what it might have been like to experience the beginning of the history. For instance, an Indian pointer tree is a tree that was purposely bent over as a sapling and held in a bent position throughout most of its young life. The Indians would use the pointer trees to show tried paths to find a passage or location.
As I walk the fields,
Looking for the perfect shields.
Taking care to help my tribe,
And to help my people strive.
I lay a sapling down,
Firmly to the ground.
To help my fellow friend,
Be safe in their travels end.
